Transliteration

Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrineen. Wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqaliboon. Allahumma inna nas’aluka fi safarina hadhal birra wat-taqwa wa minal ‘amali ma tarda. Allahumma hawwin ‘alayna safarana hadha watwi ‘anna bu’dahu. Allahumma Antas-Sahibu fis-safari wal-Khalifatu fil-ahli. Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min wa’tha’is-safari wa kaabatil-manzari wa su’il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahli.

English Translation

Glory is to Him Who has subjected this to us, though we could never have accomplished it ourselves. Surely, to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You on this journey for righteousness, piety, and deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance. O Allah, You are our Companion during the journey and the Guardian of our family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, unpleasant sights, and a bad return regarding wealth and family.

Travel involves unknown situations. The dua asks Allah to protect us from accidents, hardships, and difficulties.

2. Beginning with Trust in Allah

The dua reminds us that success and safety come only through Allah’s mercy.

Safar Ki Dua in Urdu

Many Muslims search for safar ki dua in urdu to understand its meaning more clearly. Reading the translation in your native language helps you appreciate the depth of this beautiful supplication.

Safar Ki Dua in Hindi

Many Indian Muslims also search for safar ki dua in hindi to learn the supplication more comfortably.

When Should You Recite Safar Ki Dua?

The dua should be recited just before starting your journey. It can be read:

  • Before driving a car
